Greetings from the School Library Media Center

Our goal is to get students to learn about the library while developing a love of reading and literature.  Your child will come to the library once a week.  Students will enjoy books and reading through storytelling, read-alouds, booktalks, and literary activities.  We will learn how to conduct research and utilize resources in print and online, practice digital safety and learn about digital footprints.  Our library curriculum supports the New Generation Standards in order to ensure that all students can become life-long readers as we promote literacy and the interests of students.  Makerspace and other STREAM ideas are also explored with the the library and in our new STREAM lab area during the year.

Please be sure your child has their book on their library day.  Children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade may borrow one book per week.  Children in grades 3-5 may borrow two books per week.  If your child still needs more time to read their book, they need to bring it back and we will renew their book for another week.  If a book is lost or damaged, we will contact you with an overdue sheet with instructions  for a replacement.
